About the Role

Ever fancied getting paid to watch live sport, tell people where the toilets are, and occasionally look very serious with your arms folded? Then welcome to your new calling.

We're looking for friendly, alert, and slightly heroic Security Staff to join the matchday and events team at DCBL Stadium, Widnes - home of big tackles, big goals, and even bigger queues for pies.

Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It):

  • Keep everyone safe while pretending you're part of the FBI (earpiece optional)

  • Smile confidently while giving directions for the 400th time

  • Politely stop fans from "just popping into restricted areas"

  • Deal calmly with overexcited supporters after last-minute winners

  • Handle the occasional "I know the manager" conversation

  • Be visible, professional, and cooler under pressure than the stadium beers

You'll Need:

  • A SIA licence (the golden ticket)

  • Thick skin (especially after controversial referee decisions)

  • The ability to stand for long periods without leaning on anything that says "Do Not Lean"

  • Excellent communication skills (shouting "Please keep moving" counts)

  • A sense of humour - essential for survival

Bonus Points If You:

  • Can tell the difference between rugby and football rules

  • Don't flinch when someone spills gravy on your boots

  • Enjoy live events, crowds, and the smell of hotdogs in the air

  • Can sprint when needed (yes, sometimes you actually have to move quickly)
