Care and Support Worker Senior

About the Role:

Are you a compassionate, capable individual with experience in care and a passion for leading by example? As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you'll be a guiding presence on the team-supporting both the individuals in your care and your fellow staff members. From delivering hands-on care to mentoring colleagues and coordinating daily routines, your role will be essential to ensuring quality and consistency in every shift.

What You'll Be Doing:
✅ Providing high-quality, person-centered care with dignity, respect, and encouragement.
✅ Assisting with personal care-helping individuals feel their best every day.
✅ Overseeing medication administration and supporting health needs in line with care plans.
✅ Leading by example and mentoring junior team members to grow in their roles.
✅ Responding to emergencies and call bells with confidence and calm.
✅ Encouraging social engagement and supporting access to community activities.
✅ Maintaining accurate records and contributing to care planning and reviews.
✅ Liaising with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure continuity of care.

What We're Looking For:

📋 Experience in a care setting and a commitment to promoting independence and dignity.
🧭 A team player who can take initiative, solve problems, and support colleagues.
📝 NVQ Level 3 (or working towards) in Health and Social Care is preferred.
